seattle
wow...where do i begin...it was soooo great. seriously, so great.
day 1
------
we left houston on sat am around 9 and got into seattle at like 1pm. while we were heading to the airport amanda was asking about how we were getting to the hotel from the airport and such...what she didnt know was that this was waiting for here at the airport:
YES!! jeff and stacey meet us in seattle and we hung out the entire weekend!! amanda was floored - totally surprised. what a great start. it was so amaaaaazing to see them and have the celebrate with us. after waiting forever for our bag we hopped in the car and headed to the city...there was hardly any traffic and i couldnt believe how close the airport was to downtown. sooo great!!
into the city we headed for our first destination: the seattle center and the experience music project. it was very cool. it was a lot like the rock and roll hall of fame in ohio - but with a more artistic flair. a way cool exhibit on jimi hendrix, a huge led wall and a giant recording studio where you could demo just about anything. some photos for ya:
after getting some food and hanging at the seattle center we headed to check in to our hotel, the W Seattle!! it was an amazing hotel. my fav part is the 32" flat screen HD tv...wow...pics:
after checking in we headed up the capitol hill - walked around for a bit, visited a great used cd store then ended up eating some dinner at the broadway grill. yuum. after dinner we headed pack to the hotel and played a little texas holdem with jeff and stacey - then it was time to crash. i was a great day but long with the time change and all. thus concludes day 1. day 2 here we come...
